My Story & Journey

I have over time enjoyed the use of computers. When it was time to go into the university, I applied for Computer Science and by the Grace of God, I was admitted to study Computer Science and Statistics at the then Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi. This gave me an edge in many areas. After my graduation from the university in 2014, while waiting for National Youth Service Corps [NYSC ] a divine revelation stirred within me, urging me to embark on a literary odyssey. The urge was huge. It was not something I deliberately planned to venture into nor something that I had admired. I was never a lover of books. I read mainly to excel in my exams. I found myself venturing into uncharted territory – Writing.

I had no prior knowledge on how to write a book. I wondered how I was going to start, all these thoughts flashed through my mind as I meditated. However, it didn’t take me long to figure it out. I picked up my computer and knelt before the Lord and committed the project to Him. I received the courage and inspiration I needed. I researched on what it takes to write an outstanding book. Without procrastination I began. Luckily, I did not procrastinate as usual. I learn on every job and project I am involved with and this has been one of my strongest success tips. I learn more while in the process and I applied the same thing on the book project. I didn’t wait to know all before proceeding. My faith was on God, trusting in a higher purpose guiding my pen. After all, He gave me the vision surely He will give the Grace and zeal for accomplishment.

Writing an academic book on computer studies wasn’t just a task; it was a mission to empower millions with practical knowledge of the electronic machine. With God as my guide, I poured out my heart and soul into crafting a book that would serve as a valuable resource for people from various professions. It was a thing of importance to me as I knew everyone irrespective of their profession needed at least basic to intermediate knowledge of the machine to operate proficiently and effectively in their respective fields.

The entire process was divine, and in October 2014, “EXPOSING COMPUTER SECRETS,” my inaugural masterpiece (first book), was birthed – an academic opus illuminating the intricacies of the electronic machine. The success recorded at the launching was unwavering and unparallel. To God be the Glory. Little did I know that this endeavor would be the catalyst for an extraordinary voyage into the realms of my writing and publishing career. I was humbled at the Grace of God during the book launch, I was motivated and encouraged. I didn’t feel like I wasted my time. I knew it was the hand of God when I started receiving calls from schools and individuals to supply more copies of the book.

The echoes of my first book’s success had barely settled when fate intervened once more. I remember vividly how one day while on a motorcycle in Makurdi, the Benue State capital, a phone call came in and it was a prominent school in Makurdi. They called requesting to buy another set of books written by me for the Primary School Category. Oh my God! Where have I found myself! I knew I didn’t have any other book. For goodness’s sake I have just launched a book and then here am I being asked to supply books written by me which I didn’t have. I wondered what to do, I didn’t decline the order, I asked for an extension of time. What! What have I gotten myself into? It was after the conversation that I realized I had gotten myself committed to writing another set of books this time not just a book but series of books to suit their demand. I knew I had to write something outstanding that would out sell other such books in the market. This request was not just an order; it was a divine confirmation. I immediately recognized it was the hand and mind of God so I charged on without procrastinating.

To the glory of God, that serendipitous encounter birthed the “FORTHAM COMPUTER STUDIES FOR PRIMARY 1-6 & Nursery 1-3” series, a collection meticulously crafted to nurture young minds with essential computer knowledge. The books were written and published. However, I didn’t meet up with the school that placed the first order. God used them to push me to write the outstanding Fortham Computer Studies for Primary Schools which are in high demand today.
God had a plan and purpose but I never knew, He unveiled it stage by stage, praise God!
(What is that area of your life that God is pushing and revealing to you in bits? Please take it seriously without doubts, thoughts of failure and procrastination). God’s ways are not ours and we MUST learn to go on any path He directs us without a single doubt.
The books underwent rigorous assessments and approvals from various educational bodies including the Federal Ministry of Education which approved the books as main texts books, the Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council [ NERDC] amongst other relevant bodies and authorities.
The books are sort after by both Public and Private schools across the country. By the special mercies of God, thousands of copies are been distributed across the country yearly. We had the privilege of distributing over 25,0000 copies of one of the story books along side other stories this year.
This is to say, a journey of a thousand miles begins with just one step. In my case, it began with just writing my first book.
