PRUDENT WOMEN HOSPITAL VISITATION AT THE BENUE STATE TEACHING HOSPITAL
It was a great, emotional, and spirit-filled moment on Wednesday the 28th of August, 2024 as the Prudent Women Advancement and Advocacy Foundation, led by its founder and president, Mrs. Msurshima Comfort Chenge, accompanied by her husband, Engr. Robert Ahen Chenge, paid a visit to Baby Msurshima at the Pediatrics Department of the Benue State Teaching Hospital. Baby Msurshima was seen and brought to the hospital for an operation and total treatment by the Ukan Kurugh Foundation.
Mrs. Msurshima Comfort Chenge said the Lord led Baby Msurshima’s case to her as a burden. She said she was completely restless the moment she saw the case and she is very happy that the Ukan Kurugh Foundation made the case visible for the world to see and come in where God wants them to be of impact.
She highlighted that it was a privilege as the Prudent Women came to see the baby just like when the wise men visited King Jesus when He was born in the manger. She said Baby Msurshima has a mighty and divine destiny. Just like other people who had great destinies, they fought big battles but won them all. She continued that the baby is a huge testimony and her situation is temporary and was ordained to bring glory to God and salvation to multitudes.
Mrs. Seember, the mother of Baby Msurshima, was applauded by the president and the entire Prudent Women as the real Prudent Woman—resilient against it all, never giving up but holding on to her child, protecting and looking unto Jesus, just like Jochebed, the mother of Moses, did when Moses was born at a time when it was like a crime to give birth to a male child. The mother of Moses saw that Moses was a good child and should not die like the other children; she did all she could to preserve him, which is the reason Moses later became the deliverer of Israel, and so shall the destiny of Msurshima be. The president said Mrs. Seember was an inspiration to her and all mothers all over the world. She should be honored and will surely rejoice, just like the meaning of her name, Seember.
Engr. Mrs. Omale Valerie Judith, a director at the Lower Benue River Basin and a member of the Prudent Women, was moved to compassion as she blessed and prayed for both the baby and the mother. The members of the Prudent Women Advancement and Advocacy Foundation took turns, as Pastor Mrs. Adejoke Adoyi, Pastor Mrs. Rita Attah, Pastor Mrs. Sar Nguwasen Benita, Mrs. Famimi Linda Mbashinya, and Mrs. Gift Ogoma Ityokoso, RPON, RM, RN, a matron at FMC, all prayed for Baby Msurshima. They expressed unquantifiable joy for Mrs. Seember, who stood by her daughter, urging her to hold on and depend on God alone. The Prudent Women Advancement and Advocacy Foundation handed over a little token (cheque) to Mrs. Seember, assuring her of their constant check-ups.
Engr. Robert Ahen Chenge, husband of the President of the Prudent Women, thanked the Ukan Kurugh Foundation, the Prudent Women Advancement and Advocacy Foundation, as well as all her members, for always showing love, commitment, and care for humanity. He rendered encouraging words to Baby Msurshima’s mother and asked for the opportunity and privilege for his family to adopt Baby Msurshima and take care of her as their child, taking care of all her school and social needs, just as they do for their other children. The mother was completely surprised to hear the news of the adoption. The Robert Ahen Chenge family said that by God’s grace, they will not only father Msurshima but also stand by her with the help of God, so she should wipe her tears.
The hospital visitation was divine. There was another baby at the ward with a similar health issue to that of Baby Msurshima, and his surgery bill was immediately paid for by Engr. Robert Ahen Chenge and his dear wife. Every other child at the Pediatrics Ward was prayed for and given a little token by Engr. Robert Ahen Chenge and his wife.
The Prudent Women Advancement and Advocacy Foundation promised to continue supporting the Ukan Kurugh Foundation in its humanitarian activities, giving meaning, purpose, and hope to the hopeless while glorifying God.
